Good Things Foundation working in partnership with Virgin Media, O2 and Vodafone is rolling out a data gifting initiative called the National Databank that provides free data to support individuals experiencing data poverty by gifting them free data for a set period of time.

The Programme
The National Databank gives community groups across the UK access to free data – either via SIM cards or vouchers – that they can share with those who are digitally excluded and need support.
Eligibility
Someone receiving data through the National Databank must:
- Be 18+ years old
- AND be from a low-income household
And qualifies in one or several of the following statements:
- Has no access or insufficient access to the internet at home
- AND/OR has no or insufficient access to the internet when away from the home
- AND/OR cannot afford their existing monthly contract or top-up
